What’s in this release:

Features:

Editing Published Transactions:

Users will now be able to edit and republish transactions more easily than before. Previously, when a transaction was published to the Accounting Platform, nothing changed on the page except for the status moving to Published. This meant that someone could accidently republish a transaction or overwrite any details by mistake.

We have improved this process by greying out all details after a transaction has successfully been Published and creating an Edit button to make any subsequent changes before republishing.

Non-VAT Registered Clients:

Jack is now able to work on companies that aren't registered for VAT in the UK. Previously, only VAT registered companied were recognised by Jack and this may have limited whether you considered using Jack. That's all changed now!

Improvements:

Publish Button

We have renamed the 'Confirm and Sync' button to Publish, to be more in line with its actual purpose.

Adding a Team Position

Removing the mandatory requirement to enter in a Position for every team member added to a client or the practice on the WebApp. Users felt this was not always necessary or useful so requested we remove this requirement.

Bug Fixes:

Document Number on Transaction Details:

When attempting to publish a transaction without a document number, an error would appear that mentioned Invalid Strings and wasn't useful for making a correction. We have since put in more wording that shows a Document Number is required to be entered before publishing a transaction to the Accounting Platform.

Coming soon: Jack to auto create a number when none exists on the document.

Dates:

Users pointed out that Jack wasn't including a 0 in front of any single digit days on the Transaction Details Page. We have since fixed this and now all dates will be shown in 00/00/0000 format rather than 0/00/0000 format.

Upload Storage Size Bar:

Users were reporting being left unsure of what was meant by the remaining file size bar displayed every time they uploaded a document to Jack. We have removed this bar and any mention of storage space left as it served no purpose and could be confusing to users who were uploading larger files.
