Managing Your Pure Bookkeeping Templates

We have just added all the Pure Bookkeeping templates to your account and now what?? This helpful guide will walk you through understanding what the names of the templates mean, how to edit and delete them, and how to assign the templates to clients.

Template Names

  • An asterisk ( * ) next to the Pure Bookkeeping templates means you have the Canadian version

  • A caret ( ^ ) next to the Pure Bookkeeping templates means you have the USA version.

  • QB - QuickBooks Desktop

  • QBO - QuickBooks Online

  • SAGE - Sage Accounting Software

  • MKT - Marketing

  • Other templates include

  • Admin MKT

  • Implementation Checklist for QB, QBO, and SAGE

  • Recruitment Checklist

Edit Templates

1. From the Jobs tab, click on the Templates subtab

2. You will now see all your Pure Bookkeeping templates listed

3. Click on the name of the template to edit it

5. Now you can change the name of the template, add/edit tasks, rearrange the tasks, rewrite, etc.

Delete Templates

::Note:: Deletion is permanent. If you delete any templates we cannot undo this. There also isn't a way to mass delete templates at the moment.

1. To delete a template, click on the name of the template

2. Hit the Edit button on the top 

3. Hit Delete

Assign a Template for One Client

1. From the Templates subtab, there are 2 ways to assign a template for one client a. Click on the green "+" icon on the left-hand side of the template's name

OR

b. Click on the name of the template and hit Create job from template

4. Fill in the necessary fields (e.g., Client, Manager, Due date, Repeat Schedule, etc)

5. Click Create Job

Assign a Template for Multiple Clients

1. From the Templates subtab, click on the name of the template

2. Click on the blue down arrow button at the top and select Create job for multiple clients
