In the last few months, we’ve seen strong demand from developers and their ecologists and architects for Availability Certificates - but what are ACs?

An AC is a certificate which confirms that a package of off-site biodiversity units is available on the BNGx Exchange to support a planning application.

The certificate details the number and type of biodiversity units contained within the package, providing reassurance to both the developer and their planning officer that the site can meet its BNG requirements.

ACs are ideal for developers who aren’t quite ready to make a purchase, but want a simple way of proving they can access the right off-site biodiversity units for their development.

To secure an AC, just upload your metric to our platform, run the search, and we’ll do the rest!
