PLEASE NOTE, you should only count this as a stand alone parcel if it is over 400m². Do not count bracken as a stand-alone parcel if it is under a forest or woodland canopy.

Land dominated by Bracken Pteridium aquilinum(covering at least 95% canopy cover at the height of the growing season).

Key Species:

Special Notes

- Doesn't include sites of under 0.04ha bracken (i.e. 400m²); instead, this should be considered as part of the broader habitat parcel the patch is found in.

- Doesn't include bracken found under a forest or woodland canopy.

- Other species may be present, but Pteridium aquilinum should be dominant.

How to enhance to a "Good" condition

It is not possible to enhance this habitat. You may wish to create a new habitat or buy off-site units.
