If you are creating on-site solutions, the LPA may not be persuaded that the solutions you have set out are entirely viable. In certain circumstances they may ask you to change the habitat type. This can be very easily done:

Step One

Open your project and go to the "Intended Works" section and click on "Parcel List"

Step Two

Click on the name of the habitat parcel you wish to amend.

Step Three

Select the new type of habitat

Please note that, for certain types of habitat, you may need to click "All (13) to see the complete list of habitat types.

Step Four

Press "Continue" until you return to the tabe of intended works. Please repeat the above process until you have made all changes requested by the LPA.

Step Five

Go to the BNG Solutions Page. Please note that, because you have changed the habitat information, the BNG solution score will be different and it is possible that previous enhancements may have been removed (e.g. because they're no longer allowed with the new habitat type).

When you are happy that you have managed to get to 10% with the new habitat parcels return to the main menu and download a new metric sheet.

Please note that, in certain circumstances when you need to replace a linear habitat with an area habitat (e.g. if a "line of trees" should be replaced with individual trees) you will need to delete the habitat type by pressing the bin button on the table and then creating a new habitat.
