The gutter is the blank space between columns. Use the following guideline to specify the distance between columns:
1. Double-click on the text frame to open the Text editing toolbar.
2. Change the gutter in any of the following ways:
Enter the number in the Gutter field
Hold the pointer over the Gutter field and then use the arrows to change the number.
