Introduction πŸ‘‹

Over the past few months, we've put a lot of thought into upgrading and simplifying how documents are created in, and imported into, Juro.

Ultimately, we wanted to give our users as much flexibility as possible when building new documents in the platform, and also when using uploaded files as a starting point. With the changes we've made here, we think that's exactly what they'll have. Read below to learn more about how this new process works.

Creating a document from a template πŸ—οΈ

Being able to apply the components of existing Juro templates to a fresh document will not only reduce the time you spend customising documents one by one; it'll further enrich your data repository by aligning new documents with the data points that you've deemed to be essential to your contract flow.

To create a document from a template, go to your Contracts homepage and:

  1. Click + Add document

  2. Select + Create from template

  3. Select your template and click Continue

  4. Enter the name of the other party, and click Continue

With just these few steps, all the elements of your selected Juro template have been applied to this new addition. No fretting about missing key aspects of your important documents; just a nice straightforward journey to easier contract creation and management.

Of course, sometimes it may be more appropriate for you to start a new document from scratch, and build in the new data points from there. This is also completely achievable through another simple workflow.

You can also build a document completely from scratch using our new flow. When you reach Step 3 of the previous process:

  1. Instead of selecting Continue, click Skip instead

  2. Enter the name of the other party and click Continue

You'll now be led to your contract editor, where you can start building your contract from a blank page.

Uploading documents into Juro ⬆️

You can also use an external document as the basis for your Juro contract. From here, there are two options for you to choose from:

  • apply the data from an existing Juro template, or

  • leave the document as it is to use as your starting point

Uploading a new document against an existing template ⬆️ <> πŸ—οΈ

  1. Click + Add document

  2. Select Upload from your computer

  3. Drag and drop your document into the browser window

  4. Select your template and click Continue

Your files will now be uploaded against the data of your chosen template.

Uploading a document without using a template 🐀

  1. Click + Add document

  2. Select Upload from your computer

  3. Drag and drop your document into the browser window

  4. On the Select template page, click Skip

  5. You will be prompted that untagged documents may be harder to search for in your workspace. If you're happy to proceed, select Upload anyway.
