Is a payment plan classified as a credit agreement or a direct debit?

Our payment plans are neither a credit agreement nor a direct debit. Instead, they are set up as Recurring Payments (also known as a Continuous Payment Authority).
Here is how that differs for you:

  • Not a Credit Agreement: We do not charge interest, and we do not perform a "hard" credit check. Setting up a payment plan with us will not impact your credit score, nor are you entering into a formal loan contract.

  • Not a Direct Debit: While Direct Debits are linked to your bank account and sort code, our plans are linked to your debit or credit card. This makes setup instant and allows you to manage the plan through the card of your choice.

  • How it Works: You authorise us to take a fixed amount on a scheduled basis. You remain in control and can update your payment method at any time through your customer portal.
