Your points are calculated based on the duration and intensity of your exercise, cross-referenced with your biometrics. If you are fit and healthy, you will have to work harder to earn your activity points than a less healthy colleague.

During on-boarding you are asked to provide Kaido with your age, height, weight and date of birth. This allows Kaido to calculate your basal metabolic rate (BMR). An estimate of the number of calories you burn at rest.

When you enter an activity into Kaido, whether that be manually or through a connected device, the activity has an associated MET value. An estimate of the total calories you would burn when completing this activity relative to the time you complete it for.

By subtracting your BMR from your total daily energy expenditure we can work out your total energy expenditure from physical activity.

We then use this value to award your points.

This is how we ensure Kaido Points earned from physical activity are mapped to you individually.
