Kickbooster now provides valuable insights to program owners by offering data on where their affiliates are sharing referral links. The Referral Source feature allows you to see:

  • The Referral Source URL, which identifies where an affiliate's referral link was clicked (e.g., a blog, social media, or another website).

  • The Number of Clicks, giving you an idea of how much traffic each source is generating.

Note: Referrals created before November 2024 are not included in this data.

Where to Access Referral Source Data

You can view Referral Source data at the following levels:

Program Level

See an overview of referral sources across all affiliates in a specific program. This provides insights into overall traffic sources and helps identify trends in affiliate promotion.

  1. Go to specific Program's Dashboard

  2. Scroll down to 'Recent Transactions' table > click on 'Referral Sources' tab

Affiliate Level

View referral source data for individual affiliates to understand where their referrals are coming from and how much traffic each source is generating.

  1. Search for affiliate on Affiliates list > click on their name to get to their profile

  2. Scroll down to 'Recent Transactions' table > click on 'Referral Sources' tab

Benefits of the Referral Source Feature

Having visibility into the referral sources of your affiliates offers several advantages:

  • Identify high-performing affiliates – Quickly see which affiliates are driving the most traffic to your store.

  • Optimize marketing efforts – Understand where your brand is being promoted and leverage successful channels.

  • Detect potential misalignment – If an affiliate is promoting in a way that doesn't align with your brand, you can address it proactively.

  • Improve collaboration – Use this data to support and guide affiliates by suggesting best practices or refining your program’s promotional strategies.

Getting More Insights

While the Referral Source feature provides an overview of where traffic is coming from and the volume of clicks, it does not provide in-depth details on the affiliate’s marketing strategies. If you'd like more information on an affiliate’s promotional methods, we recommend reaching out to them directly via their registered email.
