What You’ll Need
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
Access to your Whereby account.
API Token and Webhook Secret (instructions provided below).
Recordings enabled in your Whereby rooms.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
1. Navigate to the Integration Settings in Kickscale
Log in to your Kickscale account.
Go to Settings > Workspace.
Scroll to the new section Whereby Integration.
Click on Connect Whereby.
This will open a dialog where you need to enter:
2. Retrieve Your API Token from Whereby
Log in to your Whereby account.
Navigate to Configure > API.
Generate your API Token.
Copy the token and paste it into the API Token field in the Kickscale dialog.
3. Set Up Your Webhook Secret
In Whereby, scroll down to the Webhook Settings section.
Add a new Endpoint URL.
You can find your personal Kickscale Endpoint URL displayed in the dialog on the Kickscale platform. Copy and paste it into Whereby.
Select the Event:
When a cloud recording finishes (recording.finished).
This ensures Kickscale can analyze your meeting recordings automatically.
After adding the Endpoint, retrieve the Webhook Secret from Whereby.
Copy the Webhook Secret and paste it into the Kickscale dialog.
4. Finalize the Setup
Ensure that Recordings are enabled for your Whereby rooms.
Kickscale can only analyze meetings if recordings are enabled.
Save your API Token and Webhook Secret in Kickscale.
🎉 Once saved, your Whereby integration is active! Kickscale will now analyze your recordings as soon as they are finished.
Tips & Best Practices
Enable Recordings: Double-check that recordings are turned on for all your relevant Whereby rooms. Without recordings, no analysis can be performed.
Secure Your Tokens: Keep your API Token and Webhook Secret private to ensure security.
Monitor Events: Verify that the correct event (
recording.finished
) is selected in your Whereby settings.
Troubleshooting
Recordings Not Analyzing?
Make sure you selected the correct event: When a cloud recording finishes (recording.finished).
Confirm that recordings are enabled in your Whereby rooms.
API Token or Webhook Issues?
If the connection fails, double-check that the API Token and Webhook Secret are correctly copied into Kickscale.
Regenerate a new token in Whereby if necessary and update it in Kickscale.
