Features of the Slack Integration

Here’s what you can do with our Slack integration:

  • Meeting Owner Notifications: The owner of a meeting receives a Slack notification once a meeting analysis is complete.

  • Mention Alerts: Users mentioned in meeting notes are notified directly on Slack.

  • Hashtag Notifications: Meeting notes with specific hashtags (e.g., #featureRequest, #bug) can be configured to send notifications to designated Slack channels.

  3. Authorize Kickscale:

    • Allow Kickscale to be added to your Slack workspace.

    • After granting access, you will be redirected back to Kickscale, and the integration setup will complete.

    • Open the Manage Integration dialog to customize user matching and channel configurations.

Customizing Slack Integration

Matching Users

  • By default, users are matched based on their email addresses.

  • In the Manage Slack Integration dialog, you can adjust the mapping by assigning Kickscale users to Slack users manually.

Managing Slack Channels

  • Use the Manage Slack Integration dialog to define which Slack channels receive notifications for specific hashtags.

  • For each channel, configure hashtags that trigger notifications when mentioned in meeting notes.

Suggested Hashtags for Sales Meetings

Here are some helpful hashtags to use in sales-related meetings:

  • #followUp – To remind the team about post-meeting action items.

  • #dealClosed – Notify about successfully closed deals.

  • #pricingQuestion – Highlight notes or questions about pricing.

  • #competitorMention – Alert the team about competitor-related discussions.

  • #opportunity – Notify the team about new sales opportunities.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Keep Hashtags Consistent: Standardize hashtags across your team for clarity and efficiency.

  • Use Descriptive Hashtags: Ensure hashtags are meaningful to streamline Slack notifications.

  • Test Notifications: Use test notes to verify that notifications are sent to the correct Slack channels.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see notifications in Slack:

  • Confirm that the Slack integration is connected in Settings -> Workspace -> Integrations.

  • Check if the correct Slack channels are configured for your desired hashtags.

  • Ensure the users are correctly matched between Kickscale and Slack.

I’m unable to connect Slack:

  • Verify that you have admin rights in both Kickscale and your Slack workspace.

  • Check your network settings to ensure no firewalls are blocking the Slack authorization page.
