My parents are not receiving the Daily Diary email notification

How to troubleshoot parents receiving an email notification

There are 3 areas that you will need to check;

  • Preferences,

  • Parent Directory and

  • Child's profile page.

From the Admin Dashboard, click on Administration and select Preferences.

Scroll to the Daily diaries section and make sure you have picked the email notification option.

From the Admin Dashboard, expand Administration and select Parent Directory.

Click on the parents profile and make sure the following option is NOT ticked, if it is, untick and save the page.

Go back to the child's diary and click the grey tick, this will send the parent an email notification.

From the Admin Dashboard, expand Early Years, select Dashboard and go to the Child's profile page. The Parent must have a green icon next to their name, confirming they have set up the Parent Portal.

The Parent must have a green icon next to their name, confirming they have completed the set up of the Parent Portal.

Note: It is also good practice to ask parents to add the following email to their contacts list, to avoid emails ending up in the junk/spam folders.
