From the child's profile page, click the tab Reports.

Click Create Learning Journal.

There are 2 sections to the Learning Journal.

  1. Development Matters
  2. Early Years Journey

Once you have chosen what you wish to be included, click Create.

Each section is explained below;

1. Development Matters

Use this section to show the child's current level of development.

The child's current age group will already be ticked, however, you can tick as many groups as you require. 

The following is what you will see on the downloaded Learning Journal.

In the example above, you can see 2 statements are marked as Developing (orange), 1 as Emerging (red) and 1 as Secure (green).

2. Early Years Journey

Use this section to include the child's observations. 

You can also include Development Statements and/or Next Steps.

The following is what you will see on the downloaded Learning Journal.
