Booking a Mileage Reimbursement Trip in the Kinetik Health App

Members who get a ride from a family member can now submit mileage reimbursement trips directly in the app. The process works like booking a regular ride: members enter pickup, drop-off, and appointment details. They then select the driver for the trip or add a new one, along with the driver’s vehicle and payment information. Once submitted, the trip can be tracked and approved in the app, and driver information is saved for future trips to make the process even easier.

Members who drive themselves or get a ride from a family member can now submit mileage reimbursement trips directly in the app. The process works like booking a regular ride: members enter pickup, drop-off, and appointment details. They then select the driver for the trip or add a new one, along with the driver’s vehicle and payment information. Once submitted, the trip can be tracked and approved in the app, and driver information is saved for future trips to make the process even easier.


Procedure

1. Start a New Trip Request

  1. Open the Member App and tap New Trip.

  2. You will see two trip options:

    • Request a Vehicle – for a standard ride booked through a transportation provider.

    • Mileage Reimbursement – for trips where you or a family member/friend drives and you are seeking reimbursement.

  3. Select Mileage Reimbursement.


2. Enter Trip Details

  1. Enter your pickup location, drop-off location, and appointment details just as you would when booking a regular ride.

  2. Review and confirm the trip information.


3. Choose or Add a Driver

After entering trip details, you will be prompted to select a driver:

  • Choose a Driver from the Dropdown:
    If you have previously submitted Mileage Reimbursement trips and have a driver on file, their name will appear in the dropdown list. Select the driver to continue.

  • Add a New Driver:
    If no driver is listed, or you need to add a new one, tap Add Driver at the bottom of the screen.

When adding a new driver, you will need to provide the following information:

A. General Information

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Relationship to Member

  • Phone Number

  • Email Address

  • Driver’s License Number

  • State of License Registration

  • License Expiration Date

B. Payment Address

  • Full mailing address where reimbursement payments should be sent

C. Vehicle Information

  • Vehicle Make and Model

  • Vehicle Year

  • Registration State and Number

  • Registration Expiration Date

  • License Plate Number

  • Insurance Information (policy details)

  • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

Note: Once entered, driver, payment, and vehicle information will be securely saved to your profile. This allows you to easily select the same driver for future Mileage Reimbursement trips without re-entering details.


4. Review and Submit

  1. Review the trip summary, ensuring that driver and vehicle information is correct.

  2. Submit the trip request.

Your Mileage Reimbursement trip will now appear in the app for approval and tracking, just like a standard ride request.


Key Notes

  • Members may maintain multiple drivers on file for convenience.

  • Saved driver and vehicle profiles can be reused for future trips.

  • Mileage reimbursement trips are subject to plan approval and program eligibility.
