As an Account Owner, you can switch your People by Wagepoint account to a new Account Owner.

Changing an Account Owner in People by Wagepoint in sometimes necessary. Here are the steps to change the Account Owner, plus a few "housekeeping" tips for a smooth transition.

Change Account Owner: The current Account Owner can move someone else to the Account Owner role. Head to Settings and select Manage Roles.

Next, select "Change account owner" from the Account Owner section to choose a teammate to be the new Account Manager.

If a user is already assigned a role they will first need to be removed from that role and re-assigned to the Account Owner role. Any employees that the new Account Owner was assigned to as Manager or HR Manager will need to be re-assigned.

Please note that an Account Owner change will result in an immediate change. The previous Account Owner will no longer have access to employees or features when they are removed as the Account Owner. The new Account Owner can assign the previous Account Owner to the HR Manager role if admin access is still needed.

House Keeping Tips:

  • Please be sure that your payment information is updated in the event of the Account Owner leaving your company. It's good to double check to make sure the payment information on file is valid.

  • In the event the Account Owner is leaving, please remind them to close their open items in People by Wagepoint. This could be reviews, time-off requests, and tasks.
