How do I determine if I have sales tax nexus in a state?

To quickly see if your business has nexus in a state, follow these steps:

Log into your dashboard.
You'll immediately see the states where you currently have nexus, indicating you might need to register and start collecting sales tax.
Check why you have nexus.
Click the Nexus tab in your dashboard. Here you'll see the specific reason, such as Collected Tax Nexus, which occurs if you've already collected tax in that state.

Note: If you've already collected tax without being registered, you must either refund it to your customers or remit it to the state.
Track economic nexus progress.
Go to the Not Exposed tab. Here you'll find a progress wheel showing how close you are to reaching the economic nexus threshold in each state.
