๐Ÿ›๏ธ Arizona โ€“ Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on AZTaxes

Updated this week

This article walks you through how to log into Arizona Department of Revenue (AZTaxes.gov) portal and update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings. Adding Kintsugiโ€™s secure group email allows us to access your Arizona tax registration directlyโ€”no phone calls or back-and-forth codes needed.

โœ… What Youโ€™ll Need

  • Arizona login page

  • Your AZTaxes login credentials (username & password)

  • The 2FA virtual mail group ID
[Go to Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID)

  • Just 5โ€“7 minutes of your time

๐Ÿ” Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log into the AZTaxes

    1. Go to http://AZTaxes.gov, then click โ€œLog Inโ€

    2. Enter your credentials and click โ€œLog Inโ€

TIP: Check โ€œTrust this deviceโ€ โ€” this helps avoid repeated 2FA prompts during the process.

  2. Go to your account settings

    1. After logging in, click on โ€œViewโ€ to access your business profile.

    2. Select โ€œSecurityโ€ tab

  3. Update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method

    1. Click โ€œAdd Userโ€

    2. Please provide the necessary information and then click โ€œSaveโ€ to confirm your entries.

NOTE: Make sure to use the Virtual Group Mail ID from the Kintsugi platform.
    โ€‹Example: file-upload-demo-cody@tax-platform.com
โ€‹(Check your Kintsugi app: Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID)

  4. Verify the change

  • A one-time code will be sent to Kintsugi Mailโ€™s inbox

  • Youโ€™ll see this code appear in your Kintsugi Mail Inbox

  • Enter the code in AZTax to verify and complete the setup

Once verified, your account is now connected. Kintsugi Mail will then be able to receive two-factor authentication codes whenever you log into your account in the future.
