This article walks you through how to log into Maine Revenue Services account and update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings. Adding Kintsugiās secure group email allows us to access your Illinois tax registration directlyāno phone calls or back-and-forth codes needed.

Maine Tax Portal (MTP) login page
Your MTP login credentials (username & password)
The 2FA virtual mail group ID

š Step-by-Step Instructions
Log into the MTP
Enter your credentials and click āLog Inā
Upon entering your login credentials, you will receive a two-factor authentication code sent to the email address or phone number associated with your account.
Go to your account settings
Once logged in, click āManage My Profileā
Navigate to Security section then click āChange Two-Step Settingsā
Update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method
Locate the Email section and click āAdd Emailā
To obtain the Virtual Group Mail ID, please navigate to the Kintsugi platform and copy it directly from there.

ā(Check your Kintsugi app: Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID)
Simply paste the Virtual Group Mail ID you copied from the Kintsugi platform into the designated field below. After entering the required information, click "Save."
Verify the change
A code will be sent to Kintsugi Mailās inbox
Youāll see this code appear in your Kintsugi Operations Inbox
Enter the code on Maine Tax Portal to verify and complete the setup
Once verified, your account is now connected. Kintsugi Mail will then be able to receive two-factor authentication codes whenever you log into your account in the future.
