How to Import your SLP Toolkit Caseload into Kit
Updated over 3 months ago

Follow these steps to export your Caseload from SLP Toolkit:

  1. Log into your SLP Toolkit account and click on the Caseload tab

  2. Click on 'Actions' at the top of the page and then click on 'Export Caseload'

  3. The following columns are required fields when importing students into Kit. Make sure the box is checked beside each of these fields:

    1. Student's first name

    2. Student's last name

    3. School

  4. The remaining fields are not required, but you can customize your export by checking the box beside them before exporting.

  5. Once you've checked the box beside the fields you want to import into Kit, click 'Export' and a .csv file (i.e. spreadsheet) will download to your device with all of your caseload information.

Now log into your Kit account, head to the Students page, and click on the Import button to get started.

Follow these steps to import your Toolkit caseload into Kit:

  1. To get started, click on on the 'Import' icon in the top right corner

  2. Click in the middle of the page to upload your .csv file and then click 'Next Step'

  3. If necessary, match your columns by clicking the menu in each column header and then click 'Next Step'. If a column is not matched or skipped, you will see the message 'There is a required column which is not matched'. You can click on 'Show more' for details.

  4. Once you've matched all columns click on 'Import Data' and wait for the import process to be completed.

  5. If any errors were detected, Kit will notify you with a popup message and a .csv file you can review. You can make any corrections if needed and then complete the steps above to import the remaining students.

Helpful Tips when matching columns:

  • You can leave out any columns by checking the 'Skip' box at the bottom of the 'matching columns' drop down menu.

  • We would recommend skipping the 'Tags' field when importing, and matching any 'Notes' with a corresponding column. (For example, if the 'Note' is a parent email then you could add that field to the 'Parent/Caregiver Name' column.)

  • 'Therapy Type' can be matched to 'Specially Designed Instruction'

  • 'Service Time' can be matched to 'Service Minutes', 'Frequency', or 'Period'
(You can separate the Service Time into all of these columns after importing if needed.)
