How to Import a Size Chart from a PDF

Updated yesterday

Kiwi Sizing lets you import size charts directly from a PDF file, saving you time on manual setup.

This feature uses Amazon Textract, an advanced document-reading service, to detect and extract size chart tables from your PDF and convert them into a usable size chart in Kiwi.

How to Import a Size Chart from a PDF

Follow these steps to import your size chart:

  1. Go to Kiwi Sizing in your Shopify admin

  2. Click Add New Size Chart

  3. Select Import size table

  4. Choose Import from PDF file

  5. Upload your PDF

  6. Review the extracted table and make any adjustments

  7. Save your size chart

Each PDF import uses 1 credit, which will be deducted after you import and approve the chart. If you need more credits, check out our guide: Purchasing Credits in Kiwi for Sizing Image AI and Web Import Tool

How PDF Import Works

When you upload a PDF:

  1. Kiwi scans the document using Amazon Textract

  2. Text and tables are automatically detected

  3. Size chart data is extracted and converted into a chart

  4. You can review and adjust the results before saving

What Files Work Best

PDF import works best with:

  • Clearly formatted tables

  • Simple layouts (rows and columns)

  • High-quality PDFs (not blurry or distorted scans)

  • Size charts with standard measurements (e.g. Chest, Waist, Length)

PDFs that are heavily stylized, multi-column, or image-heavy may require more manual cleanup after import.
