Kiwi makes it easy to translate your size charts and recommender so customers can see everything in their own language.
Available languages by plan
Kiwi supports multiple languages depending on your plan:
Free plan users cannot access any translation language.
Premium users can only select Spanish.
Plus users can select only: Dutch, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.
Ultimate users can select all listed languages.
If you don’t see a language available, you may need to upgrade to the Ultimate plan.
Where to find translations
Open the Kiwi app in your Shopify admin
Go to → Translations (left-side menu)
You’ll see a list of available languages
How translations work
English is your base language
All other languages are translated from your English content
Each language must be published to appear on your store
Step 1: Publish a language
Before translating, make sure the language is available in your store:
If a language shows as Unpublished, it will not appear on your storefront
Publish the language in Shopify first
Then return to Kiwi to manage translations
Step 2: Translate your content
Once your language is available:
Click on the language (e.g., Spanish, French, German)
You’ll see all translatable fields:
Size chart button text
Recommender text (e.g., “What’s my size?”)
Result messages
Headers and tabs
You can either:
Option A: Use Auto-translate
Automatically translates your English content into the selected language
Updates all fields on the page
⚠️ Important:
Auto-translate will overwrite any existing edits in that language.
Option B: Manually edit translations
Customize wording for better accuracy or tone
Recommended if you want more control over phrasing
What can be translated?
You can translate all customer-facing text, including:
Size chart button (“Size Chart”)
Recommender prompts (“What’s my size?”)
Results (“We recommend size: {result}”)
Error messages (“We couldn’t find a good size match”)
Modal headers and tabs
💡 You can use dynamic variables like:
{{product.title}}→ Automatically inserts the product name{result}→ Displays the recommended size
When to use Auto-translate vs Manual
Use Auto-translate for quick setup across multiple languages
Use Manual edits if:
You need brand-specific wording
You want more accurate translations
You’re targeting a specific region (e.g., Canadian French vs EU French)
