📘 What Is the Student Submissions Tab?

The Student Submissions Tab is a new feature built into the Kognity textbook that gives teachers a clear, organized view of student submissions, all from within the book itself.

Previously, teachers had to navigate separate dashboards to find this information. Now, it’s placed exactly where you would expect to find it: alongside the activities students complete.

This update helps teachers quickly understand how students are engaging with specific tasks, saving time and streamlining their workflow.

🔍 How the Student Submissions Tab Works

The Submissions Tab is available in every section of the book that includes a student-facing activity. These include:

  • Content pages (standard sections for all subjects)

  • Activity sheets (IBDP Psychology FE 2027 and English A only)

  • Quizzes (IB DP Psychology FE 2027 only)

  • Reflection questions (IB DP Sciences, Psychology FE 2027, Business Management only)

All sections stack vertically, so you can scroll through them without switching pages. Each section shows which students have submitted work and gives access to the full submission details.

✅ Completion Status

For content pages, you’ll see a list of students and a visual indicator showing whether they’ve completed reading the section.

📋 Quizzes and Activity Sheets

In these sections, you’ll see:

  • Each student’s individual responses

  • An indicator showing whether auto-graded answers are correct

Note: There is no grading feature here, only response visibility.

💬 Reflection Questions

For these submissions, you can:

  • View each student’s reflection

  • Leave written feedback

  • Add private teacher notes

  • Flag responses for later review (flags are private to you)

🎯 Why Use the Student Submissions Tab?

Teachers visit the Submissions Tab to:

  • View detailed responses for a specific learning activity

  • Leave feedback on Reflection Questions

  • Review answers for Quizzes and Activity Sheets

It provides a clear, contextual snapshot of student learning, right in the book section where that learning took place.
