If you did not use our ManageBac import last year, please only select your new students and classes for import to avoid your continuing students/classes being overridden.
Please note: you may see reference to both API key and API token. These are the same thing.
Log in to ManageBac and select Settings (the cog icon in the top right corner)
Select “Develop” in the menu bar on the left (at the bottom left corner)
Choose “API Manager” which appears underneath “Develop” when you click on it
Select “Add New Token” in the top right corner
Name your token Kognity (or something similar) in the “Name” field at the top
Then select “Read-only” in the bottom left corner.
Click “Add Token”
You’ll be taken back to the API Manager page and your Token will now appear in the list of Tokens. Select Copy to Clipboard using the icon next to the Token (in red)
You can now return to your Kognity account where you will be prompted to paste in this token
If you are unable to access this part of ManageBac please ask whoever manages your ManageBac account to help you. If they have access to Kognity, they can then insert the API Key/Token in your School Settings page which will allow them or you to go on to import your classes, teachers and students. Otherwise, they can send it to you and you can copy it into the field in your Kognity Account - School Settings page.
