If there's any update done to the class either in Kognity or in Google Classroom, you will need to disconnect the Google integration and reconnect it again. This way it will fetch the updated information.

  • Error message: ‘Assignment name’ failed to post in Google Classroom.

  • Issue: Students in this Classroom do not see the assignment in their Stream or Classwork areas.

  • Fix: Disconnect and reconnect your class, then send the assignment again.

To update/disconnect your Kognity class from Google Classroom, please follow the steps below:

Click on the three dots next to the class name in one of your classes. Then click on "Manage class and students".

Click on "View connected classes". Under Connected class, click on the three dots across the connected class, then you can choose to update or disconnect the class.

If you are still unable to post assignments in Google Classroom after following the steps mentioned above, your class might be archived in Google Classroom ( If this is the case, you will have to unarchive it on Google Classroom before sending the assignment again) or your students’ names are not matching between Kognity and Google Classroom, the names should be exactly the same, if you need to change the students’ names on Kognity, kindly send us an email or message us via the chat.

Still unable to post your assignment in Google Classroom? Send us an email stating the error you are getting. 👇
