Note: Currently, the Filters feature is available for the following Kognity subjects - NGSS The Living Earth: Integrating Biology and Earth Science, NGSS Earth and Space Science, NGSS Chemistry in the Earth System: Integrating Chemistry and Earth and Space Science

Teachers often find themselves rearranging, selecting, and customizing lessons and activities to suit their classroom needs. To make this process smoother and more efficient, we've enhanced our content accessibility features.

With our new category filters on the class overview page, you can quickly find the resources you need without endless scrolling. Save valuable time and pinpoint the perfect materials for your specific teaching needs with ease.

How to Use Filters to Find Course Content

On the class overview page, simply click "Filters" to reveal the following options:

  • Hands-on Labs

  • Quizzes

  • Virtual Labs

  • Driving Question Board

  • Performance Tasks

  • Assessment

  • Supporting materials

You can apply these filters within a specific unit or across the entire course. Select the category or categories you need, click "Table of Contents," and then choose the desired unit. Alternatively, click "All" to view resources for the entire course under the chosen filter.

Supporting materials in Filters

Filters now also include supporting materials for HSS, making it easier to discover teacher resources alongside student-facing content. These include:

  • Unit-level materials – worksheets and anchoring phenomena routine slides

  • Module-level materials – teacher guides

  • Lesson-level materials – lesson slides and worksheets (blended learning resources)
