Platform Tutorials: Creating a New Scenario

Creating a new scenario is ideal when you want a completely blank slate to work from. Keep in mind that the default settings may not be optimised for your product, so it’s essential to ensure all settings are tailored to your needs before processing the scenario. If you prefer to inherit settings from an existing scenario, consider using the ‘Duplicating a Scenario method instead.

Steps to Create a New Scenario

Creating a new scenario is straightforward. Follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Scenarios Page

  • Start by going to the Scenarios page, which can be found via the sidebar.

2. Click the “+ New Scenario” Button

Once you’re on the scenarios page, look for the ‘+ New Scenario’ button located in the top right corner.

3. Name Your New Scenario

  • After clicking the button, you’ll be prompted to name your new scenario. You also have the option to duplicate settings from an existing scenario if needed. (See ‘Duplicating a Scenario’ )

4. Add the Scenario

  • Click ‘Add Scenario’ to include your new scenario in the list.

Important: Note that a new scenario created this way will have default platform settings, which are likely not optimised for your product. Make sure to review and adjust the settings accordingly before processing the scenario.

5. Update Settings and Milestones

  • Once you’ve created the scenario, update any necessary settings and/or necessary Milestones that may be needed.

6. Process Your New Scenario

  • When you’re ready to process the scenario, click the play button located next to your new scenario in the list.
