Interest, Statements and How to Cancel Your Overdraft

Statement – Overdraft – Fees

Updated this week

If you're using the Kontist overdraft, it's important to know when interest is charged, where to find relevant documentation, and how to cancel your overdraft if needed.

This article gives you all the key information about managing your overdraft.

When is interest charged?

Interest is only charged if you actually use the overdraft – that is, if your account goes into the negative.
Billing takes place quarterly, at the end of each quarter, and is automatically deducted from your Kontist account.

Where can I find a statement for the interest?

Your account statement already includes all interest charges and serves as the official proof.
If you need an additional document (e.g. for your tax office), feel free to contact us:

How can I cancel my overdraft?

You can cancel your overdraft at any time – as long as your account is not overdrawn:

Open the mobile app → Go to Profile → Overdraft → Cancel

If you need your overdraft again later, you can reapply for it anytime – directly in the app.
