Fee overview on your Kontist invoice

On your fee invoice, you can see all costs incurred for your Kontist account during the respective billing period.
​Only services that you have actually used are charged. The amount of the fees depends on your account plan.

Account

Plan fee

Monthly fee for your selected account plan (e.g. Free, Start or Plus).
It covers the basic use of your account and the included features.


Card usage

Card payments in foreign currency

This fee is charged when you pay with your card in a currency other than euros.
It covers the currency conversion from the foreign currency into euros and is charged per transaction.

Cash withdrawals

Fee for cash withdrawals at cash machines (ATM).
Whether charges apply depends on your account plan. Fees charged by external cash machine operators may apply in addition.

Cash withdrawals in foreign currency

Additional fee for cash withdrawals in a foreign currency.
This fee is charged on top of the standard cash withdrawal fee and covers the currency conversion.

Card replacement

Fee for ordering a new physical card, for example in the event of loss, theft or damage.


Payments & transfers

Transaction fee

Shows the number of incoming and outgoing SEPA transfers during the billing period. Card transactions are not taken into account. Depending on your account plan, a free allowance may be included.

Instant top-up

Fee for topping up your account via the top-up feature using an external payment method (debit card, credit card or digital wallet).
The fee is calculated as a percentage of the topped-up amount: 2.9%.

Returned direct debit

This fee is charged when a payment collected by direct debit is unsuccessful and is returned.
Common reasons include insufficient funds or incorrect bank details.
