We ask all our applicants for at least two references.

🌳 We need one formal reference (such as a former manager/employer, a former teacher/uni lecturer, or a parent you've done childcare for)

🌳 Your other referee can be a personal reference (such as a friend, flatmate, neighbour, or family friend).

At least one of your references needs to have seen you care for children under the age of 12. (This means either your formal reference OR personal reference can be someone who has seen you care for kids).

Each of your references needs to cover a period of at least 3 months. If your references don't meet all of our requirements, we may need to ask for additional references.

NB: We cannot accept family members, partners, or the partners of family members as references.

💰Remember that the more childcare experience your referees tell us about, the higher the chance you'll earn more once you're working as a nanny. So, we encourage you to make sure your references will be as relevant to the role as possible.
