What if I need to change the contracted hours?

Advice on what to do if you have a change in circumstances and need to reduce or increase your nanny's hours

Updated this week

This help centre article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for families who currently employ a Koru Kids nanny.

We understand that life moves pretty fast and that your childcare needs may evolve over time. We're always here to help you with any change in circumstances, supporting you with whatever the best next steps may be.

What if I need to change my nanny's working schedule?

We're happy to support any mutually agreed changes to your nanny's contracted hours. There's no need to create a whole new contract - we'll just need you to tell us the new working schedule you've agreed with your nanny and we'll send confirmation via email to you both. Once you've both responded to confirm your acceptance of the changes, we'll update your account and you are free to crack on!

Some things to consider:

  • If you are reducing your hours to fewer than 9 hours per week, we'll need to apply a surcharge of £1 per hour to your all-inclusive rate. This helps us cover the costs of administrating your arrangement with your nanny.

  • If the reduction in hours is driven by your nanny's availability, this surcharge won't apply.
