This help centre article has been written for the Koru Kids nanny service

Our service was set up to help families looking for ongoing care and we ask families to commit to offering at least 3 hours per week so that our nannies receive a steady income. With this in mind, it does mean that unfortunately ad hoc shifts are not something we can facilitate at Koru Kids - as the main purpose of your contract.

The good news is any nannies already within a working arrangement with a family are more than happy to support. They may be available for babysitting work and do love picking up extra hours where they can. Babysitting is usually arranged on an ad hoc basis with your nanny, and should be paid for in the normal way through Koru Kids.

If there is one evening each week you will regularly need your nanny to babysit, this can be included in your contract.

However, please be aware that this does not apply to all nannies and weekend and evening work does depend on the individual nanny's availability.

If you need help arranging extra cover, just let us know by emailing care@korukids.co.uk or click the live chat message button to chat with the team.
