This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.

Your online application will guide you step by step to provide the details we need to verify your identity and experience.

You'll be asked to provide contact details for at least two references (more info can be found here).

You'll also upload an ID document so we can check you’ve got the right to work in the UK.

The form explains what exactly you need to upload (typically a passport but there are other options). You'll be asked to sign in using a Google account so you can upload your documents securely. If you don't have one you can easily create one.

Finally, we'll ask you some questions about your health and general suitability for the role. This will include asking about any previous convictions, conditional discharges, cautions, reprimands or final warnings that would appear on an Enhanced DBS check.

You can find out more information about which cautions and convictions will appear on a DBS check here. Please do read this carefully if you’re not sure about past cautions and convictions, and if you think there may be something that could show up on your check please reach out to discuss this with us. We don't have a blanket policy and we are happy to review these on a case-by-case basis.
