This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are looking for a role with a family.

We'll only show you families who are a good fit for your nanny profile, which means it's important to make sure you're showing off your most up to date information at all times.

Here are the main ways you can update the info and filters on your profile to make sure you are seeing as many families as possible with job posts that match your skills and availability.

Location

We will only show you families located near your home postcode, so it's important to make sure you've got this right! If you move house or are looking for a family near a different location than where you live, e.g your university or another job, you can change your postcode by editing your account information in your profile.

Availability

Your days and times will have an impact on the families you are seeing as we try to ensure your availability lines up with the family job post requirements.

Sometimes this can be tricky if families haven't been specific. We also like to keep this as flexible as possible so that you and the family can potentially come to an agreement on hours. This is why sometimes you might still see families in your search who need times you are not available to offer.

That's okay - you can choose to message them anyway and see if they have any flex, or move on to another job post that suits you better.

Pets

If you feel a certain type of way about pets, we've got you! Click the filters button at the top of your search view and you can check the box to see only families with no cats, no dogs, or neither. If this limits your search too much, just un-tick the box to see the full selection of family job posts again.

Your filters button looks like this:

Cooking comfort

If you would prefer not to handle meat during of food prep, again you can use your filters to control your search view by selecting the box according to your comfort level.

Other preferences

You can clarify some of your other thoughts and preferences by updating the details in your Job search preferences section under your Profile. Here you can specify things like your preferred age groups to work with, or number of children you're happy to look after at a time. This will not limit or change the family job posts you'll see, but it will help families to get a better understanding of whether or not you'll be a good fit for them.
