We all know the pain of being left on read! But sometimes life can get pretty busy for families who are juggling work and kids and all the bits in between. After all, that's why they need a nanny right?

So don't get too down if you don't hear back right away, and definitely don't take it personally. We recommend you message between 5 - 10 families per week during your job search.

If you've had some messages go back and forth with a family and they suddenly go quiet, feel free to give them a nudge to check if they are still interested, e.g. "Hi XXX family, I'm just checking if you're still interested in having a trial? I am available next week on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon if this would suit?"

If you still don't hear anything then we'd advise you to head back to your search panel and try again with another family who looks like a good fit.

Finding the perfect job can take some time, but by putting in the effort you'll be more likely to find the right family for you - it will all be worth it in the end!
