Shipping by Sea freight

Advantages and Disadvantages of Sea Freight Shipping

Updated over 3 months ago

Shipping costs account for a significant portion of the total expense when importing K-pop albums and merchandise.

We offer various solutions to help you import products at the lowest possible cost.

Pros and Cons of Sea freight Shipping

✅ Pros

  • Cost-Effective for Large Volumes: Sea freight is significantly cheaper than air freight when shipping large or heavy cargo.

  • More Flexible with Dangerous or Restricted Items: Certain items that are limited by air can be shipped more easily by sea.

(Items like battery-powered electronics, Bluetooth devices, and flammable cosmetics (e.g. perfumes) may be restricted or denied air shipping due to safety regulations.)

❌ Cons

  • Longer Transit Time: Delivery can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the destination and shipping method.

K-pop trends change quickly, so long shipping times are not recommended.

Still, for restocking non-urgent items or previously released albums, slower delivery methods can be a good option.

  • Compared to express couriers like FedEx or DHL, reliability and stability may be relatively lower.

⭐️ Recommended for:

• Relatively large orders

• Items with low risk of damage

• Products that are not time-sensitive
