Shipping costs are determined based on several factors, including:
Package Weight & Dimensions
The larger value between the actual weight and the dimensional weight is applied.
These days, K-pop albums come in many different styles and packaging types, with weights ranging from as little as 0.03 kg to up to 8 kg per album.
When placing a bulk order for various types of albums, estimating an average of 0.5 kg per album will generally give you a close approximation of the final total weight.
In most standard bulk orders (albums), the actual weight tends to exceed the dimensional weight, so dimensional weight is usually not a major concern.
However, if your order includes a large number of items from different product categories, the results may vary.
For example, a lightstick may have an actual weight of around 0.3 kg, but its dimensional weight is higher due to the size of the box.
On the other hand, a magazine typically has a small dimensional weight but a higher actual weight — around 1 kg.
In such cases, combining items from different product categories in one shipment can help minimize wasted shipping costs.
Shipping Courier & Service Type
There are multiple shipping options available, including FedEx, DHL, EMS, and other forwarding services.
There is no single courier that is always the cheapest — shipping costs vary by country, and in some cases, certain weight ranges may be more favorable with one carrier over another.
With FedEx, you can choose from several service options, such as Priority and Economy.
Economy is typically around 10% cheaper, but it comes with a longer delivery time.
In some countries, however, the difference between the two options may be minimal.
Korea Post offers several shipping options, most of which have a weight limit of 20 kg per box.
If the shipment exceeds this limit, an additional box must be used — and each box will require a separate tracking number and customs form.
In contrast, carriers like FedEx or DHL can handle multiple packages under a single tracking number and set of documents, streamlining the shipping process.

Shipping Rates
In international wholesale transactions, free or flat-rate shipping is not offered.
Most partners prefer that shipping costs be calculated after all items have been packed, based on the actual weight of the shipment.
Paying for shipping after packing is often more advantageous — especially when the order contains mixed or unpredictable items — as it ensures accurate cost calculation and helps avoid unnecessary charges.
We understand that multiple payments — for products and shipping — can lead to duplicate transaction fees or added inconvenience.
We’ll cover this topic in more detail in a separate article.
Shipping costs are based on a base rate plus incremental charges every 0.5 kg as weight increases.
As a result, very small orders inevitably incur a higher shipping cost per album.
As mentioned above, it’s important to work with our team to find the most suitable shipping carrier and rate tier for your order.
