Find a provider:

In Your Network

Find a doctor or hospital near you in our online provider directory:

  1. For best results, click Log in to log in to your MyLABlue account so your network and location are already selected. If you do not log in, you must manually select your network and enter your city, state, or zip.

  2. In the search bar, enter the provider's first and last name, or enter the specialty or provider type (such as neurologist, hospital, or specialty pharmacy).

  3. Select the provider name or type . If you don’t see what you need in the dropdown list, click the magnifying glass icon. A list of providers matching your search criteria displays.

Outside Your Network

There are two ways to find a doctor or hospital outside your plan’s network:

  • Online- Go to http://www.bcbs.com/ and use the Find a Doctor search tool.

  • Call BlueCard Access 1-800-810-2583.

If you are a PPO member, be sure to use a BlueCard® PPO doctor or hospital to receive maximum benefits.

Participating doctors and hospitals will know you are a Blue Plan member and identify your benefits through one of these symbols found on your ID card:

HMO plan

Clear suitcase which represents HMO coverage

PMO Plan

Suitcase with PPO on it to represent PPO coverage

Outside the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands

Follow these steps to find a doctor or hospital while traveling outside the country:

  1. Call BCBS Global Core Program 1-800-810-2583 (or Collect 1-804-673-1177), available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  2. After calling BCBS Global Core Program, call the number on the back of your ID card to speak to a Louisiana Blue customer service representative to ask about any pre-certification or preauthorization required.
