Our insurance has a waiting period of 14 days. This means that the insurance does not cover illnesses that have appeared within 14 days of the insurance being started.
The waiting period does not apply in the event of an accident.
For a puppy or kitten that is insured before it is 120 days old, the insurance applies immediately (without a waiting period of 14 days) if there is a veterinary certificate without remarks. The certificate may not be more than 10 days old.
Submitting a valid Swedish veterinary certificate can remove the 14-day waiting period for illnesses. The certificate must be without remarks, no more than 10 days old at the start of the insurance, and the pet’s ID number must match the policy.
If you increase your insurance coverage, the added coverage becomes valid 14 days after the change is made. This ensures that the new coverage terms are applied consistently.Conditions or illnesses that existed or were observed within 24 months before the start of the insurance period or during the waiting period are considered pre-existing and are not covered.
