You will need to answer a few questions to get a personalized quote. The microchip number and other documents (such as medical history, etc.) are not required for registration, but we may request them in case of a dispute.
Information about your pet: We will ask you for information about your pet. Here are some helpful details to answer the questions.
Breed
We will ask for your pet’s breed. No pedigree is required to sign up for insurance with us. If your pet is closely related to a particular breed, we suggest choosing that breed. If it’s a mixed breed, you can select Domestic Cat/Unknown Breed. If it’s a mixed breed dog, or if you don’t know the breed (e.g., if it's a rescue dog), you should select the breed it most closely resembles. If you’re unsure of your dog’s breed, our customer service will be happy to assist you. Just send us a photo and specify the weight and height at the withers. It is also helpful to know the country the dog is from. Once your pet is identified, we will base it on the breed listed in its i-Cad certificate.Spayed or not:
We will ask if your pet is spayed or neutered. Choose the option that matches your pet’s status at the time the insurance is meant to start. If you plan to have your pet spayed after the insurance starts, choose “not spayed/neutered.” You can contact us after your pet is spayed, and we will update the information in your insurance, which will lower the price!It’s important to choose the option that best fits your pet, as your
choices will affect the coverage.
Indoor/Outdoor Cat:
If you have a cat, we will also ask whether it is an indoor or outdoor cat. It’s important to answer correctly so that the insurance applies.
Keep in mind that you must choose "outdoor cat" even if your cat is on a leash or only goes outside under supervision.Which insurance plan should I choose?
