At Lassie, we cannot cover expenses related to injuries or illnesses that occurred before the insurance policy was taken out or during our waiting periods. Therefore, we do not reimburse costs related to prior problems, meaning anything your pet has been treated for, examined for, or exhibited symptoms of in the past 24 months.
However, note that in the case of a chronic illness treated with supplements, therapeutic foods, or other treatments, we may offer coverage under the preventive care budget option described in paragraph 4.4, provided you have chosen this option.
We do not cover congenital (birth-related) issues.
