The insurance does not cover the following, including the associated examinations :
Anything that was noticed, examined, treated, medicated, or showed symptoms before the start of the insurance period or during the waiting periods.
Injuries or illnesses and their consequences caused by constitutional abnormalities, dental anomalies, disabilities, malformations, and congenital diseases.
Any costs, medications, treatments, and exams that are not directly related to an illness or accident, not linked to the declared diagnosis, or the exams used to explicitly diagnose an illness not covered by the insurance.
Any costs related to illnesses and accidents if the insured animal cannot be identified by microchip or tattoo before the incident.
Any costs that could have been avoided by preventive care, treatments, or vaccinations.
Costs related to a "dangerous dog" as defined by the French rural and maritime fishing code.
All costs related to behavioral disorders and motion sickness (diagnosis, medication, surgery, therapy).
All costs related to pregnancy, pseudo-pregnancy, or pseudo-lactation.
Costs of dental, ocular, or joint prosthetics of any kind (except for orthopedic prosthetics in case of an accident up to the limit specified in paragraph 4.2, which remain covered).
Diseases of the teeth, malocclusions, absence of dental germs in the dog or its offspring.
Anomalies of the testicles or congenital hernias.
Costs resulting from dog fights.
Treatments or surgeries for musculoskeletal system diseases.
Costs for treatments or surgeries aimed at improving breeding or the racial status of the insured animal.
Costs for health certificates, records, reports, passport issuance, or any other identification document.
Transport costs for the insured animal or the veterinarian (except those specifically indicated in paragraph 4.2).
Any damage caused by the animal to third parties.
All costs related to natural disasters, war, pandemics and epidemics, terrorism, nuclear disasters.
Care accessories and supplies, transport devices, or walking aids.
Animals involved in commercial activities or used for professional breeding.
Euthanasia costs unless due to illness or accident.
Any prescription or intervention not carried out by a certified veterinarian belonging to the Order of Veterinarians.
Costs related to: identification by microchip or tattoo, vaccinations, general health checks without medical necessity, preventive treatments for parasites, preventive castration/spaying, dietary supplements/therapeutic foods, preventive dental care and scaling, nail trimming, homeopathy, osteopathy, desensitization, phytotherapy, aromatherapy, phototherapy, laser therapy, anal gland drainage, cleaning and hygiene products. (These costs may be covered under the optional preventive budget option described in paragraph 4.4 if you have subscribed to this option.)
