A pre-existing condition is any illness, injury, medical or behavioural condition your pet has had in the 24 months before your policy starts, whether diagnosed, undiagnosed, with or without symptoms.
If your pet has a pre-existing condition, your policy will only cover new conditions, not the existing ones.
Example:
Arthritis your pet had within the last 24 months will not be covered if it needs further treatment.
Kennel cough your pet had more than 24 months ago could be covered if it returns.
