My cat is registered as an indoor cat — what does that mean? 🐱

If your policy schedule shows your cat as an indoor cat, your premium reflects the lower risk that comes with living indoors. There are a few specific conditions attached:

  • We cannot cover any claim arising from an accident that happens while your cat is outside, or an illness that could reasonably be attributed to outside exposure

  • Whenever your cat is transported outside the home, they must be in a closed cage or carrier specifically designed for animals, and handled safely when being placed in or taken out of it

  • If your cat has access to a balcony or any other area above ground level, adequate protective measures must be in place at all times

If your cat's circumstances change and they start going outdoors, please let us know as soon as possible so we can update your policy. Your premium may change, but it means your cover will be right for how your cat actually lives. 🐾
