When placing an order with Laybuy, there are a few things that may happen on a customer's account that a merchant won't see.

The leading reason why an order may not be placed successfully is due to insufficient funds to cover the first instalment or an outstanding payment that is overdue on an existing order. A customer can be advised to double-check that there is nothing that is owed to Laybuy before attempting to place a new order.

Laybuy has rigorous fraud preventive tooling to protect our merchants, customers and business. If we deem a new order as suspicious, we'll block this at the time of the transaction to keep everyone safe. Very rarely, we may detect and enforce a prevention rule against a genuine user. We now offer Live Chat to answer our customer's needs in real-time, this is available within the app and our team will be available to assist in resolving anything outstanding to ensure you capture the sale.
