What does the widget do?

The Sales Net Connection and Revenue widget provides the user with visibility of the net change in quantity of services and revenue value in a given time period.

For example, you may wish to see a summary of services that a sales team has sold for the month of November, offset by how many services are ending.

A number of grouping and filtering options are available - for example, you may wish to see this on a user or team basis, or you may wish to look at a specific supplier or product category.

Above is an example of the widget that has been filtered to show details for two users, for the month of December.

Ray has 4 service assets against his name that are ending in December, which come to £60 monthly revenue. However, this is offset by 10 new contracts that are starting, which bring in £270 per month. The variance shows the difference.

You can click on the magnifying glass icon against any line to see the breakdown of the details for that line:

This can be exported to CSV format.

How are Service On and Service Off defined?

Service On is based on Quotation Sign Date.

You can decide whether or not to include non-core services in this - more details on this later.

To find Service Off, we look at customer assets, and the Cease Date. We can see this below on an asset record on the Assets tab of a customer record.

This contract will show as a Service Off for December.

What defines Monthly Revenue?

Monthly Revenue fields look to the Recurring Sell value on an asset. This field may be renamed in your instance, based on your configuration.

Grouping options

There are several options available to determine how you want to group your services

  • Intermediary

  • Product Category

  • Sub-Category

  • Supplier

  • Team

  • Username

Example widget grouped by supplier.

Example widget grouped by team, useful for comparing performance:

Note: You can filter by team but group by user if you wish to see user-level results for members of a specific team or teams.

Note: If you are grouping by team, and a user appears in more than one team, their figures may be counted multiple times.

Period filter

You can choose to display information for a given period. Choose a Timespan Type e.g. day, month and an Initial Span to determine period length. Please note that these options refer to calendar periods. If you wish to display in non-calendar periods, please use days as your timespan type.

Date filters use the Quotation Sign Date for any items at order level.

Breakdown and export

The breakdown will display item line details of filtered information. Users with the required role will be able to export this to spreadsheet.

Filtering options

You can filter on:

  • User

  • Team (via assigned user)

  • Supplier

  • Product Type (Product / Service)

  • Product Category

  • Classifications (please note this affects services on only, as assets do not hold classification info)

  • Intermediaries
