TL;DR: The Dashboard is your mission control for LearnSpark. Use it to see your daily schedule, track student progress, and quickly log learning that happens outside of the classroom.
The Dashboard is the heart of your LearnSpark experience. It gives you a real-time look at your homeschooling journey. It combines your schedule, student progress, and easy tools to help you manage your day.
By keeping everything in one place, the Dashboard makes sure SparkAI has all the info it needs to keep your family’s learning on track. It's designed to save you time and keep you organized!
Your Daily Impact Metrics
At the top of your Dashboard, you will see a snapshot of your teaching work. These numbers show you how much you are getting done:
Student Count: This shows how many active student profiles you are managing right now.
Lessons & Projects: This is a total count of all the lessons and projects you have built using SparkAI.
Teaching Hours: These are the total hours you have logged. This is very helpful if you live in a place that requires you to track attendance.
Time Saved: This is an estimate of how many hours SparkAI saved you by doing things like lesson planning and curriculum mapping. Great job saving time!
The Daily Schedule & Adventures
The Dashboard acts like your personal daily planner. It shows you what is happening right now so you can focus on teaching. You won't have to go hunting for files!
Today’s Lessons: Click directly on a lesson to see your Teacher Guide. You can also find Differentiated Pods or start a Lesson Recording to get a transcript.
Upcoming Adventures: If you are worldschooling, your next destination and saved activities will show up here. This keeps your travel plans in front of you.
Weekly View: This is a shortcut to your Weekly Schedule. You can see the whole week, move lessons around, or use Batch Generate to quickly fill in empty spots.
💡 Good to know: Using the Weekly View to Batch Generate content is the fastest way to plan a full week of learning!
Quick-Log: Capturing Ad-Hoc Learning
Learning happens everywhere, not just at a desk! The Dashboard has a Quick-Log (or Log activity) feature so you can record ad-hoc activities as they happen.
When you log these moments, SparkAI updates your student’s Learning Journey and Mastery Profile. This makes sure their progress reflects all their hard work.
Curiosity Topics: Did your child just ask a great question? Use this to instantly turn that interest into a lesson.
Quick Activity: Use this to plan a specific activity for the day. You can even tell SparkAI you want it to be a "learning activity," and it will tailor what you should do to reach educational goals.
Reading Time: Record which books were read and for how long.
Outdoor & Physical Activity: Track things like sports, nature walks, or playing outside.
Excursions: Quickly note trips to museums, parks, or community events.
Student Performance Snapshot
You can check on your students’ academic health right from the Dashboard. You don't even have to open their full profiles!
Operating vs. Expected Levels: See how your student is doing compared to where they are expected to be for their age.
Curriculum Coverage: See if your current schedule is hitting your goals or if there are any gaps you need to fill.
Mastery Tracking: Get a notification when a student reaches a new milestone. Celebrate those wins!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between "Quick Activity" and "Log Activity"?
A Quick Activity is for planning something you want to do soon. You can ask SparkAI to make it a learning activity. Log Activity (or Quick-Log) is for recording something that already happened, like an unscheduled nature walk, so it counts toward your student's mastery.
How do I track hours for state requirements?
You can view your Teaching Hours on the main Dashboard. To print a full report, use the shortcut to the Performance tab and generate a PDF compliance report.
How much do extra SparkAI credits cost?
While your basic account includes credits for average usage, you can buy extra packages of 150 credits for $10 whenever you need them. This is great for "power users" who generate many lessons and adventures!
Can I log a nature walk as a school activity?
Yes! Use the Quick-Log or Log activity button on your Dashboard. Select Outdoor & Physical Activity to record the event so it shows up in your student's Mastery Profile.
How do I see what my student needs to learn next?
Check the Student Performance Snapshot on your Dashboard. It will show you Curriculum Coverage and Mastery Tracking to help you spot any gaps in their learning.
