TL;DR: You can upload photos and documents as evidence to show your student has mastered new skills and completed their work.
Tracking growth is a big part of the LearnSpark experience. When your student does great work away from the computer—like a science project or a hand-drawn map—you want to make sure it counts toward their official records.
LearnSpark lets you upload Evidence documents to show progress in a student's profile. This tells the full story of their learning journey. It also makes it easy to match their work to curriculum goals.
How to Upload Evidence
You can add evidence to a specific lesson or directly to a student's profile. Just follow these steps:
Go to the Students tab and click on a profile, or open a Lesson where you want to provide feedback.
Find the Evidence section and click the Add Evidence button.
Choose the file from your computer or phone. You can use photos, PDFs, or even short videos of your student's work.
Click Save to attach the file to that student's record. Great job—you're all set!
💡 Good to know: When you upload a file, SparkAI can analyze it to see which curriculum goals it meets. This helps keep your student's mastery profile up to date automatically!
Using Evidence for Reports
If you need to show proof of learning for local requirements, these documents are very helpful. In the Performance & Compliance section, you can create PDF reports that include these files.
The system organizes everything by date and skill. This makes reviews much faster and helps you stay organized without any of the stress.
⚠️ Heads up: Make sure your photos are clear and easy to read. If a photo is blurry, it might be hard for SparkAI to analyze the work properly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do uploads use my SparkAI credits?
Simply uploading a file does not use credits. However, using SparkAI to analyze the document for Mastery Profile updates or skill analysis will use your monthly credits.
What if I upload the wrong file?
Don't worry! You can click the edit or remove icon next to any file to delete it or change it at any time.
Is my evidence secure?
Yes. We take privacy very seriously. Your documents are only seen by you and the collaborators you invite to your account.
How many files should I upload?
There is no hard limit, but it is best to pick the 2 or 3 best pieces of work for each learning goal. This keeps the student's profile neat and easy to read.
