How to import a list of contacts:

Importing contact list’s has many uses but is mostly for moving contacts from an existing loyalty scheme to the dashboard. It is also useful for updating information/attributes en masse. Follow the steps below to complete a contact import:

  1. Navigate to Imports ◦ Go to 'Data' and select ‘Imports’.

  2. Start a New Import ◦ Select ‘New import’

and choose ‘Contacts’ as the import type and proceed.

  3. Select your contact file (ensure it is in CSV format). ◦ Click ‘Next Step’ to proceed.

  4. Mapping Columns ◦ Under ‘Data’, select which columns in your file correspond to attributes in the dashboard. Simply select 'assign' on your column, and then find the corresponding attribute. If an email is already in the dashboard, any selected or mapped data attributes will update all of the contact information with what is in your CSV file. Click ‘Next Step’ to proceed.

  5. Under the ‘Marketing’ tab, decide whether your contacts will be imported as subscribed to your various marketing subscriptions. Subscriptions for existing contacts won’t change. Click ‘Next step’ to see the import being prepared.

  6. Complete the Import Process ◦ Click on ‘Import’ to begin the process. After pressing 'import' will then be jumped to the imports page to monitor the progress of your import.

Your contacts have now been imported and updated! If you want to create a contact list with the import you just completed, follow the steps here.
