How to import a list of contacts:

Importing contact list’s has many uses but is mostly for moving contacts from an existing loyalty scheme to the dashboard. It is also useful for updating information/attributes en masse. Follow the steps below to complete a contact import:

  1. Navigate to Imports ◦ Go to 'Data' and select ‘Imports’.

  2. Start a New Import ◦ Select ‘New import’

and choose ‘Contacts’ as the import type. ◦ Click ‘Submit’ and then ‘Upload’.

  3. Select your contact file (ensure it is in CSV format). ◦ Click ‘Submit’ to proceed.

  4. Mapping Columns ◦ Under ‘Mapping’, select which columns in your file correspond to attributes in the dashboard. ◦ Click ‘Submit’ to proceed.

  5. Configure Information ◦ Under the ‘Information’ tab, decide whether your contacts will be imported as ‘subscribed’ to your various marketing subscriptions.

    ◦ You may also decide if your import may overwrite contact’s information. If an email is already in the dashboard, the overwrite function will update all of the contact information with what is in your CSV file. ◦ Click ‘Start’ to see the import being prepared.

  6. Complete the Import Process ◦ Click on ‘Import’ to navigate to the overview page. ◦ Select the gift card import you’ve just completed (it will have a ‘Ready’ label). ◦ Finally, click on ‘Start import’ to complete the process.

Your contacts have now been imported and updated! If you want to create a contact list with the import you just completed, follow the steps here.
