Perform platform-wide searches with our new search tool to find conversations, information, files, links and deliverables in your previous chats.

📌 Use the platform-wide search tool to:

  • Search your entire account, including closed projects

  • Find your search terms in the chats where they’ve previously been mentioned

  • Go straight to the original message in the chat where your search terms were mentioned

Find and use the search function

  1. Find the search bar at the top of your screen.

  2. Type the keywords in the upper search tab

  3. Browse the search results

What kind of results does the search function generate?

  • The results will show the messages that include your exact search terms.

  • If there are no results try using a shorter word or phrase, or a variation of the keyword combination.

  • If the search results produce messages that include files, you will be able to download any files directly from these search results.

  • If you want to jump into the chat to find the message where your search terms are mentioned, click on the search result. A separate tab will open with the project and chat in which the message can be found.

Use the search tool to find information in historical chats

  • This tool is great for looking through years of conversations with your VLO across many different projects and timelines.

  • Use the search feature to identify conversations or information from previous messages with your VLO, such as information on deliverables.

  • Dive straight back into the conversation and ask for further clarification from your VLO, whilst referencing the date and time of the message in question.

Use the search tool to find the latest document or deliverable

You can always head to the Documents Tab to look for your documents and deliverables, but if you want to find a specific piece of information shared in conversation between you and your VLO, the search tool is great for achieving this.

When handling multiple files, the search feature can help remind you of the context for different tasks, making it easier to keep your finger on the pulse, even with lots of different projects in progress.

More tips for effective searches

  • As the search uses absolute search terms, you may need to try a few variations of your search, or even related phrases to find what you’re looking for. If you get stuck, you can always ask your VLO, or if you think there’s an error, use the contact feature in your account to get further help.

  • Search results only include any search terms found in chats. Currently, the search results do not include project names, descriptions, or task names and descriptions.

  • The search feature will search across all chats on all online portal pages. If you think there is information from any projects that are no longer visible on your account (for example, closed offers), please contact your VLO for further help.
